When you have done wrong
Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves
رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَآ أَنفُسَنَا وَإِن لَّمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْخَـٰسِرِينَ
Rabbana zalamna anfusana wa in lam taghfir lana wa tarhamna lanakunanna minal-khasirin
Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.
Adam and Hawwa make no excuses and blame no one else. They admit their mistake and ask Allah for forgiveness and mercy. Every sincere repentance can follow the same pattern.
